This past Friday marked the iMac’s 10th anniversary. In a world of beige boxes (even Apple’s G3 tower at that point), the Bondi Blue plastic all-in-one beauty knocked the computing world on its collective ass. The replacement for the Performa’s price point (which was the first Apple computer I purchased with my own cash), the ‘98 iMac also eliminated ADB & SCSI, had a hockey puck-shaped mouse, and….good Lord, where was the floppy drive?

Since the iPod, Apple is finally recognized en masse for creating the ultimate technolust devices, sexiest hardware, and most intuitive software. What this breeds, though, is having the very people who are/were the company’s biggest detractors, clogging up the Apple store wanting their iPhones.

Huzza for the blog! It’s completely ridiculous to consider implementing “blog functionality” a feat when you’re using WordPress as the engine for your site. However, I have some (somewhat) legitimate reasons for being pleased. At least, that’s what I tell myself so I can sleep at night.
